Radiation Shielding

AST provides high-energy shielding for new and existing accelerator, PET/CT and HDR vaults.  We furnish shielding for other types of X-ray equipment and various industrial applications. We offer complete architecture and engineering support for our products. We review shielding calculations, space and budget to determine which materials provide the most practical and cost-effective shielding solution.  AST may recommend alternative shielding solutions to enhance design opportunities where appropriate. 

Design & Construction

AST provides design and construction services for vault additions and the conversion of existing simulator, accelerator or HDR vaults to higher and better use. We provide services for the complete development of free-standing cancer centers.  We prefer a Partnership approach in which AST serves as the hub for feasibility analysis, site investigation, design development, construction and equipment selection.  Traditional Owner-Architect-Contractor relationships are focused on resolving conflicts. Our single source approach to Project Management is focused on eliminating them.
